Ladles of Love
Ladles of Love’s Nourish Our Children nutrition programme is realising amazing results in children under six years old who attend Early Childhood Development Centres in impoverished communities.
The challenge is that children are arriving at school hungry as their parents are often unable to put food on the table, due to the high level of unemployment. Sadly, a child cannot focus, learn, or play on an empty tummy and this is why Ladles of Love stepped in to provide a nutritious diet plan.
Ladles of Love are appealing for donations:
Ladles of Love provides weekly bulk food and fresh produce to over 70 ECD Centres allowing them to prepare two healthy meals a day for their children, with extra for the teachers. This consistent supply of nutritious food is making the world of difference to the growth and development of the children, plus principals are seeing far better general attendance.
R10: feeds a child two healthy meals.
R100: feeds a child two meals a day for 10 days.
R250: feeds a child two meals a day for a month.
